Six talented designers have been chosen by Giulio Cappellini to create works in Antolini’s natural stone, with its infinite potential; the settings and materials for the seven main trade fairs of 2015 will display the designers' innovative concepts.
Zaven for IMM Cologne, Keiji Takeuchi for KBIS Las Vegas, Mist-O for Maison&Object Paris and 100%Design London, Leonardo Talarico for ISH Frankfurt, Lanzavecchia and Wai for the Salone del Mobile Milan, Antonio Facco for ICFF New York.
For 2015, Antolini is creating a real laboratory for experimentation in the design of natural stone, where research and creativity combine to emphasise the beauty and expressive variety of the materials. Promoting young talent and experimentation with materials, finishes and fields of application: this is at the heart of the “Antolini Interpretations 2015” project.
“Stone is an incredible material that can surprise us with its coloring, grain and hues which make possible a plethora of different uses in architecture and design.” That is how Giulio Cappellini sees the project: “Antolini presents a variety of marble, granite and truly unique semiprecious stones with materials that come from every part of the world. For the stands at the 2015 trade fairs, I asked some of the most promising young designers to give their interpretations of these materials.
“Very disparate designs were the result, some more architectural, some more playful in their uniqueness, emphasising the cultural interpretation of the material. Designers who differ in culture and training have created ambiences of great visual impact with the utmost respect for the use of the very beautiful stones that Antolini makes available on the market and the sophisticated processing techniques that the company is capable of deploying. This artistic output will accompany us around the world throughout 2015, starting in Paris, moving onto London and then New York.”
